Total Private Satellite Network

A Total Private Network (TPN) is created by connecting the corporate server directly to the satellite NOC with a private terrestrial data line. Many customers with a TPN do not require a VPN with a satellite link because the connection is already secure, thus increasing the performance and speed of the connection.

Enhanced VPN

Enhanced VPN over Satellite is similar to a TPN, but uses client provided VPN hardware (router to router) to connect corporate to the NOC over a shared data line connection (i.e., Internet cloud).

Point-to-Point Total Private Network

A Point-to-Point network avoids any terrestrial link connection. Both the remote site and the corporate site are connected via satellite at the NOC. While this is a very secure network, latency is doubled because communication takes two round trips to the orbiting satellite.

Training

The VSAT Installation training program will give you basic knowledge of satellite technology as well as the installation of the Galileo VSAT satellite system from Ground Control.

This step-by-step course is comprised of both web pages and an online video targeted for those who have a limited knowledge of the satellite industry who wish to increase their knowledge of satellite installation.
